Privacy Policy
How we handle your information.
the edit. ("the edit.," "we," "our," "us") operates this website and the membership waitlist for our forthcoming telehealth longevity practice. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain English, no fine print.
Who we are
the edit. is operated by The Edit Health LLC, a Texas limited liability company functioning as the management services organization (MSO) for The Edit Health PLLC, a Texas professional limited liability company that holds the clinical practice.
For privacy questions, contact us at legal@theedithealth.com.
What we collect on the waitlist
When you submit a waitlist application, we collect:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Preferred contact channel
- Areas of focus you select (e.g., energy, aesthetics, cognition, hormonal balance, weight management, muscle preservation)
- How you heard about us
- The technical details your browser sends automatically (device, browser, approximate region from IP, timestamp of submission)
We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, payment cards, or medical records on the website. We do not collect protected health information (PHI) on the website. Clinical intake, when you become a member, occurs inside our HIPAA-covered clinical platform, separately from this site.
What we do with it
- Invite you when access opens. We use your contact information to notify you about your waitlist position and to send your private invitation.
- Route your invitation thoughtfully. Your selected focus areas help us prepare relevant materials when we reach out.
- Improve the practice. We aggregate referral source data to understand how prospective members find us.
- Comply with the law. We retain submission records as required for tax, regulatory, and audit purposes.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Email and SMS communications
If you provide a phone number and select SMS as your preferred contact channel, you consent to receive text messages from us about your waitlist application, your invitation, and the launch of the practice. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You may also opt out of email communications by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting legal@theedithealth.com. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect your position on the waitlist.
Where it lives
Waitlist submissions are stored in a database operated by Supabase Inc., our hosting provider, in the United States. The site is delivered through Vercel Inc. These vendors act as data processors under our instruction. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses minimal first-party functional storage required to render the site (for example, persisting that you accepted our terms before submitting). We do not run third-party advertising trackers. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and seek consent where required.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights including:
- The right to know what we have about you
- The right to request a complete copy of your data
- The right to correct it
- The right to delete it
- The right to opt out of any sale or sharing (we don't sell or share, but the right exists)
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights
To exercise any of these rights, email legal@theedithealth.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by your jurisdiction. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Tennessee, Indiana, and other state privacy law residents have parallel rights. Washington residents covered by the My Health My Data Act have specific rights regarding consumer health data.
Health-adjacent information
The focus areas you select on the waitlist (energy, aesthetics, cognition, hormonal balance, weight management, muscle preservation) describe stated preferences, not medical conditions or diagnoses. We treat this information as sensitive and handle it accordingly. If you become a member, your clinical record (history, labs, prescriptions) is held inside our HIPAA-covered clinical platform under a separate Notice of Privacy Practices, not under this policy.
Children
This site and the membership are intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention
We retain waitlist applications for as long as you remain on the list, and for a reasonable period after you become a member or withdraw, in line with our recordkeeping obligations. You may request deletion at any time by emailing the address above.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and least-privilege database policies. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected individuals within 72 hours of confirming the breach, by email or other reasonable means. The notice will describe what happened, what data was involved, and the steps we recommend you take.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the practice evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email to active waitlist applicants and members, and posted at the top of this page with a revised effective date.
